The City of Sacramento is already moving ahead with the planning process for redeveloping the Sleep Train Arena property in North Natomas, should the NBA decide to keep the Kings from moving.

City planners and others told councilmembers at Tuesday's meeting that they expect the local investment team trying to buy the team will meet with city officials to hammer out details during the summer and beyond.

Public input will also be "woven" into the process several times. One hurdle to overcome is the moratorium on building do flood risks in Natomas.
