SACRAMENTO -- The California State Fair announced attendance grew by 6.5 percent this year.

Nearly 700,000 people visited the fair in 2013 -- helping it reach its highest daily average attendance in five years.

Other stats released: 9,000 turkey legs were eaten,  along with 11,000 pounds of deep-fried watermelon, and 4,500 servings of spaghetti ice cream. And in case you were wondering: 60,000 rolls of toilet paper were used at the fair this year.
