SACRAMENTO- Another heatwave is heading back and the City of Sacramento is asking for people to conserve water.
The city has issued a "Spare the Water" alert, which is done every time there is a stretch of triple digits that lasts three days or longer. In this case today, tomorrow and Sunday, people in Sacramento are being asked to wait until next week to do things like washing down decks or cars and to turn off faucets when doing dishes.
Residents of Sacramento are supposed to water their lawn before 10am and after 7pm, depending on the address. If address ends in an odd number, watering is allowed tomorrow and if the address ends in an even number, watering is allowed today and Sunday. The city doesn't expect any supply issues but too much demand coupled with high heat can damage utility equipment.
