More of America's children are living in poverty than in recent years. That's according to a new report out today from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, which also shows that California ranks number 41 of the 50 states in terms of improvement from last year to this year.

The biggest concerns are with falling educational achievement, lower health care standards, and an increase in the cost of housing.

Foundation president Patrick McCarthy says the end result is children having a lesser chance of success in life due to poverty.
